Client Requirements
We always enjoy a fun and colourful project at Big Dog, and the recent work completed for the upcoming KALEIDOSCOPE Festival ticked all these boxes.
Our good friend’s at The Tenth Man asked if we would team up (they also happen to be a festival partner) to design and build a custom WordPress theme that would not only highlight and promote the 2023 festival music acts and activities but also serve as a news point throughout the year and a template and foundation for future festivals.
KALEIDOSCOPE utilises a really vibrant and wide colour palette with a range of fun cartoon elements so this was certainly the inspiration used for the overall design. At the same time it was important to ensure there was a clean and clear navigation and plenty of call-to-actions throughout the site.
The end result was a website that captures the ‘Carnival of Colour’ theme whilst ensuring a visitor can get the the content that is relevant to them in as few clicks as possible.
