Over the past year, Google Adword’s have been improving their ability to track the success of their online advertisements. With the introduction of such tools as ‘click-to-call ads’, ‘call metrics’ and ‘calls as conversion’, customers can now determine exactly what ads are generating the most phone-calls. These helpful new tools are extraordinarily useful for both business owners and digital marketers alike.

One of the most obvious advantages of using these tools is that they allow you to monitor the success of each individual advertisement.

Let’s use an example. You’ve just paid for a new advertisment with Google Adwords. You’ve written up what you believe to be the most appealing and effective copy. Now, all you have to do, is sit back and wait for new customers. What makes these new tools so great, however, is
that you don’t need to solely rely on website traffic statistics to determine your advertisements success. With these new tools, you can determine your new ads success based on whether it is generating genuine sales calls. If it is, you know your ad is a success. If it’s not, however, it’s time to either re-write your copy or re-think your overall approach.

With these new tools, needless to say, Google has made monitoring your online ad campaign easier than ever before. Business owners can now get a much fuller picture of their online ad campaign and finally achieve the success that their business deserves.
